Celebrate The End Of Tax Season

Your taxes are due soon. Chances are that you are one of the millions of people who waited until the last minute to file, but that’s ok. Now that your taxes have been completed and your payments have been sent in the mail, it’s time to take a breath and treat yourself. Listed below are just a few ideas to help you unwind after tax stress.

4 Tax Day Relaxation Tips

Get Some Tax Day Discounts

Companies know that we’re stressed during tax season, that’s why so many offer special deals on Tax Day. For instance, Bruegger’s Bagels offers their Big Bagel Bundle (13 bagels and 2 tubs of cream cheese) for the discounted price of $10.40 (Get it? 1040). There’s also Kona Ice. The company will be handing out free shaved ice from their trucks on Tax Day, which they call “National Chill Out Day.” Chili’s, Firehouse Subs, Quizno’s, and other companies have discounts as well. So, do your research and go get some deals.

Get a Free Massage

A massage can help you reduce stress. But a free message reduces tension in your body and your bank account. Fortunately, HydroMassage and Planet Fitness are here to help. From April 14th through April 21st they are running a free message promotion. With the Free HydroMassage Experience coupon, you can go to a participating Planet Fitness location and relax in one of their lux message beds or lounge chairs. You can check out their announcement here.

Get a FREE Sweet Treat

Do you love a good cookie? Check to see if there is a Great American Cookies shop in your area! Great American Cookies, the gourmet cookie shop, offers one free cookie and cream cookie per customer on Tax Day. According to the Executive Vice President, David Kaiser, “Tax Day can be a bit of a bummer so our annual cookie freebie is our way of ‘sharing the fun of cookies’ and helping everyone take a delicious bite out of Tax Day stress.” Be sure to get there early before they run out!

Plan An Outdoor Adventure

Want to really let loose and relax now that tax season is officially over? Plan a weekend excursion! You can have a picnic, go for a hike, or simply lay back and enjoy the spring weather at a national park. Actually, National Park Week just so happens to be April 21st through April 29th. Take advantage of Fee Free Day (April 21st) and get free admission to a National Park Service site in your area. This year’s theme for National Park Week is “Park Stars” and many parks will be hosting special events. So this weekend, relax in the great outdoors. You deserve it!
