Space Exploration Day

On July 20, 1969, we Earthlings witnessed, through television, the first humans walking on the moon. This event opened the door for our leap into future dreams of space mining, Lunar and Mars settlement, space tourism and to a limitless future.

Today on National Space Exploration Day learn more about Space by visiting a local planetarium, going online to space exploration sites such as the NASA site, joining a space exploration group on Facebook or downloading the many space apps available today. If you enjoy looking at pictures from space the APOD app features a new picture everyday.
