St. Patrick’s Day

Today is a day of feasting to honor the Roman Catholic Apostle of Ireland, St. Patrick. One of the great legacies of the Irish is St. Patrick’s Day. St Patrick’s Day is a day that reminds us to be playful.  I hope you have some green on or keep your eyes open for a nasty pinch.  Eat some green oatmeal for breakfast or drink some fun, delicious, green beverage. Dance an Irish jig as you go to one of the many St. Patrick’s Day parades or parties. It is the one-day of the year where we are all playfully and lovingly Irish!

Most people are familiar with certain symbols of the holiday like shamrocks, parades, and fun parties. This year, for St. Patrick’s Day, why not learn some fun facts about the holiday. For instance, did you know that Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Britain? Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
