Watch Out For Pets in Cars

It’s horrible to see pets locked in parked vehicles without air circulation or ventilation, so watch out for pets in cars. Animals are not allowed in many business establishments but sometimes we must leave them in cars while we run our errands. If you must leave your pet in your car make sure your air conditioner or heater is running at 72 degrees.

If you see an animal in a car in the heat or cold with no air conditioning or heat call the police. They have a temperature meter they put on the glass to see the car temperature inside.

It is illegal to leave your dog alone in the car without sufficient ventilation, or without food or water. You cannot leave your dog alone in a car in any other circumstances that could reasonably be expected to cause suffering, disability, or death to the animal.

Be mindful of your fur babies!
