During LGBTQIA Pride Month, we show our support for the dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people as a social group. We use the term Pride, as opposed to shame, to dispel the past social stigma of the LGBTQIA Community. The letters LGBTQIA refer to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual or allied pride month.
