The mission of the Mindful Living Network® is to be the commUNITY for people to share information on Mindful Living®. Our goal is to provide rich, original content through multiple platforms, mindful columnists and a mindful community, online and local.
For over 30 years, Mindful Living® has been the subject of hundreds of research studies. Research has shown that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (achieved through Mindful Living® ) is an effective intervention for a wide area of common mental and physical health problems. These health problems include stress, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, coping with cancer, gastrointestinal disease, obesity, attention deficit disorder, heart disease, and addictions. These studies also demonstrate the continued growth of scientific interest in mindful living in the fields of medicine, psychology, social work, and business.

Here is a brief explanation from the founder and creator of the Mindful Living Network, Dr Kathleen Hall explaining the signifcance of the number eight. “I found this number to be so powerful and auspicious I decided to launch the Mindful Living Network on August 8, 2008, at 8pm, on minute 8 and on the eighth second. That was on the eighth year, eighth month, the eighth day, eighth hour, and eighth second of the day, The Mindful Living Network continues to grow and flourish from the womb of 8. When we have struggled and worked through challenges, I have depended on the energy of 8, the Divine number and power, as a beacon of light to guide us through. Mindful living is number 8. There is no end to what you co-create when you live mindfully. The Story Behind Our Logo
The Fibonacci Sequence is a phenomenon that occurs throughout nature, art, music, and mathematics. The Fibonacci numbers are seen in the growth of every living thing, including the Mindful Living Network. When the Mindful Living Network was created by Dr Kathleen Hall, she says she wanted a powerful, sacred, Divine symbol for the logo. She chose what is for her the ultimate symbol of the Divine in the universe. As she explains, “I prayed that this universal Divine code would drive everything we do at the Mindful Living Network by bringing hope, healing, and love into the world while alleviating suffering.
