Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Lung Cancer Awareness, Lung Cancer

November is officially Lung Cancer Awareness Month. This month let’s spread the word about this horrible disease and encourage loved ones to get screenings. This is also a good time to get involved in events that raise funds for research.

Lung Cancer Awareness in America

Lung cancer is a deadly disease. According to the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, lung cancer accounts for about 27 percent of all cancer deaths. And the Lung Cancer Foundation of American reports that every 3.3 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from lung cancer.

You can reduce your risk of lung cancer, and reduce the risk for your family, by not smoking and encouraging your family members not to smoke. If you or someone you know smokes now is the time to kick that smoking habit.
