Since 1958, the American Library Association (ALA) has sponsored National Library Week every April. The ALA says that it’s a time to “celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.” The week is filled with library-themed holidays. For instance, Tuesday is National Library Workers Day and Wednesday is National Bookmobile Day. Learn more at ala.org.
