PetRelocation conducted a survey with over 10,000 participants. According to their survey, 60 percent of American pet owners have taken their animal friends on vacation with them. Though pet traveling companions are usually dogs (58 percent) and cats (22 percent), some pet owners even take their birds or other animals.
Fortunately, you don’t have to completely change your plans to include Spot in your summer holiday. Many popular vacation destinations are now welcoming animal lovers and their pets.

- Beaches. Enjoy a nice day at the beach with your four-legged friends by visiting pet-friendly beaches. If you’re going to be in Chicago, consider visiting the Montrose Dog Beach. - Theme parks. If you’re looking for the ultimate American theme park that will treat your pets like treasured guests consider Disney. The Disney World Resort in Florida has a program called the Best Friends Pet Care which accepts cats, dogs, and “pocket animals” like hamsters. They have an exclusive park and luxury suites. They offer grooming services, day camps and overnight stays.
