Vegetables are an important part of a balanced diet filled with antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber. Do you eat enough vegetables on a daily basis? It is definitely time to eat these delicious summer vegetables. Yummy fresh corn, tomatoes, green beans and squash are everywhere.

Have Fun With Your Veggies

For National Eat Your Vegetables Day pick up some fresh veggies from a local stand or a farmer’s market. It’s fun to go online to discover new recipes.  Add a marinade and grill them, or add some cheese on top your favorite veggies and enjoy!  Be sure to eat vegetables from the five subcategories, including beans and peas, dark green vegetables, red and orange vegetables, and starchy vegetables.
