Do you personally know a veteran?  Is there a neighbor, someone at church or at work who is a veteran?  If so please make sure to do something special for them on Veterans Day.  Maybe a card, cookies, decorate their yard or ask them if they would like to share their stories with you?  Most of the veterans I know like to tell a few stories of their life of service and you honor them when you listen to their life.  You may want to visit a veterans hospital or other veterans facility to give kindness to a veteran who has no family.  What a day to give of your self to someone who has sacrificed so greatly for all of us.
